Analytics According to Captain Kirk – SiteLogic – Marketing Logic

Star Trek's Kirk and Spock examine the remains of two red-shirted crew members. This article uses a familiar and amusing phenomenon–the mortality of red-shirted crew members on the original Star Trek series–to make some important points about data analysis and presentation.

The article addresses the analysis, trend identification — noticing, for example, that “The red-shirt survival rate is slightly higher when Kirk meets women than when a fight breaks out” — and presentation of data for easy understanding and acceptance.

Admittedly, it’s not a new article, but I hadn’t seen it before so I thought it might be new to you as well.
