New Greenpeace petition tool calls for ‘pact’ package in Copenhagen
Greenpeace launched a new flash-based online action this week that asks you to create your customized video petition calling for action in CopenhagenCopenhagen reviews
. Action-Pact has a great Facebook Connect feature that lets’s you see all your friends who are taking action alongside you.
Jason Mogus from TckTckTck gave it a try and had this to say:
Using their creative online game, you produce and customize a little cardboard box avatar. You add a message, and your little box buddy gets sent off to Copenhagen. Then you’re treated to an amusing (made inexplicably funnier because it’s in Danish) video about the boxes springing to life on the cobblestone streets of the Scandinavian city. Each video is customized–here’s mine.
The petition is directed at the ever ubiquitous, “World’s Leaders,” and ties in some clever “packed” and “pact,” wordplay.
This December the world’s leaders hope to agree on a deal at the UN climate summit in Copenhagen. But the world needs more than just a deal–it needs a firm pact for change that packages together three clear actions…
Help us make sure they deliver by signing our petition and sending them a message our world will never forget.
It’s a smart and clever effort to drive more activisim as Copenhagen approaches quickly. Give it a try!
